The boys did a mini comeback performance at December Storm @ Cathay Cineleisure after a loooooooooong break since the fasting month. And if you noticed, they had a stand-in drummer, Idham, who is their "brudder" :) from the band Nothing In Common since their original drummer, Gygy was injured one fine night when they were all playing sepak takraw. hehehe!

thumbs up and warmest thanks to Idham for mastering Melting Ice's songs/music in the shortest time possible to make it all happen.

Heyyy Y'all!

I'm back with updates. The boys have been busy with back to back gigs like almost every 2 weeks. hmmm some bands are so lucky to get spots to perform eh.

This time round was a collaboration event, Rock+Hiphop at Singapore Arts Museum's Glass Hall. Got see "Melting Ice" on the poster up there? Featured Artistes sehhh. Not bad eh boys. :)

we "amused" ourselves before the event starts. heh.

those who came and supported. the others were around too, but could not get hold of them to take a group photo.

ok la too many performance pictures already and all are the same, BLURRY! ya my hands very shaky. no la! it was the stupid camera quality. tsk~

HEY Y'ALL!

sorry sorry i know i'm ermmm 12 days(?) from the last gig. hurhurr~ oh u noe, career girl's busy with work and stuff. heh. ok enuf of my nonsense now, shall shower you with pictures from the STEPPING FORWARD gig.
pictures oni, since videographer is working oso, i let them borrow my camera for the day and they went on a snapping&clicking spree and came back with a bunch of pictures. kids nowadays.

Meet FRESH NEW TALENTS come this June 21st at F.A.D Studios. this time, organized by brother band Dear, Who Am I? @ TJ Productions.

Same direction as RAW & UNTOUCED, introducing a whole new line up of "virgin" (heh) bands. Be sure to come and support and join in the fun!

camera girl couldn't be there so there are not much to say. Sorry y'all, camera girl is a career girl also and cannot follow the boys around as often.

in a nutshell, RAW & UNTOUCHED basically targets newbie/virgin bands or firsttimers. this gig organized by Melting Ice themselves want their fellow musicians to be exposed to the "gig" scene. and so Melting Ice was the opening band, to hype/gear everyone up for their first-time performances.

last min tuning and drumming. these boys always like that one. everything last min. haha~!

the weather was not great that Saturday. the boys were praying for Mr. Sun to appear and let them perform in front of a huge crowd at Cathay Cineleisure, outdoor summore. this is like their first time to perform out in the open.

LAST MINUTE then want get ready.

and so they performed 3 originals and 2 covers. first up was About A Girl by The Academy Is...

fourth song, Come Home Soon by our island's very own now-defunct band Pug Jelly

Hakim was the organizer for this event with help from the other members of Melting Ice and also from some of their schoolmates.

Due to unforseen circumstances, Dear Who Am I had to drop out last minute but was quickly replaced by another band, Rubix. they did not have time to edit the poster so they let it be.

pre gig. hakim and fauzy both looked so nervous. they shouldnt be cos they are like old timers in the scene. haha!

this was during Fable's performance. the crowd made their own makeshift mosh pit. scary stuff

next one on the Melting Ice agenda was their very first acoustic session over at Ben&Jerry's at The Cathay.

last minute preparation before their session.

goofing around before set. want loosen up la, nervous ma.

at 8:30pm sharp, the boys went on stage and performed 3 songs chosen by the person-in-charge.

first song, The Guardian Angel by RJA. it was okay if you minus out their giggles. still very nervous. About A Girl by The Academy Is... and Somewhere Only We Know were much better but stil got a bit of hiccups here and dere. but overall ok ok ah dese boys. newbies but aspiring ma so much give them a abit of credit.

auditions for the Asian Beat Band Competition is on today and it was the band's second attempt at this regional music competition. it was held at the Tampines Mall Open Plaza.
